DBS Announces Incoming Head of Global Transaction Services

(8 September 2025 – United Kingdom) DBS has appointed former Lloyds Banking Group executive Matt Burns as the group’s new Global Transaction Banking Head, based in London.

Burns most recently served as Global Transaction Banking Sales MD for CIB clients and joins the bank following a 17 year career with Lloyds where he held multiple transaction banking (TB) roles across both product and sales.

The new role includes leading the continued growth of the DBS TB business across key markets with direct line reporting to DBS UK CEO Stewart Boyd, GTR reports.

“Having worked with DBS as a partner bank over the past few years, I have always been impressed by their culture and commitment to innovation. I am delighted to be joining such a world class organisation. Over the coming weeks, I look forward to connecting with colleagues and clients across London and Singapore, and to building strong relationships that support continued growth. Excited to get started!” Burns commented on his appointment.

Earlier this year DBS announced two other new key leadership appointments with Chen Ze Ling named as Group Head of Corporate and SME Banking, and Welson Jamin appointed as Group Head of Operations following the appointment of Tan Su Chan as new group CEO.
