(9 October 2026 – Singapore) DBS Private Bank has appointed Catherine Claire Lim as Market Head for North Asia, strengthening its senior private banking leadership as the bank continues to develop its wealth management business across the region.
Lim joins DBS from HSBC Private Bank, where she served as Managing Director and desk head for China and Hong Kong. Her appointment was reported on 8 October 2026. She brings approximately 25 years of experience in private banking and financial services, having held roles at several major international financial institutions.
Throughout her career, Lim has gained experience across leading banking organisations, including HSBC, Citi Private Bank, UBS, Standard Chartered Bank, Credit Suisse and OCBC. Her background spans private banking and relationship management, providing a foundation for her new responsibilities at DBS.
In her role as Market Head for North Asia, Lim is expected to contribute to DBS Private Bank’s regional client coverage and wealth management franchise, drawing on her experience in the Greater China markets and her understanding of the needs of high-net-worth clients.
Her appointment comes as financial institutions across Asia continue to focus on deepening client relationships and delivering tailored wealth management solutions to affluent individuals and families.
The move adds further senior private banking experience to DBS as it continues to strengthen its presence in North Asia and pursue growth opportunities in the region’s wealth management market.
