(10 July 2025 – Global) Deutsche Bank has gone live with Swift’s new Instant Cash Reporting (ICR) tool, enhancing its API suite with real-time access to account and balance information via a single, standardised interface.
Powered by Swift’s API infrastructure and built on the ISO 20022 data model, ICR enables corporate clients to securely request real-time financial data in JSON format. Spain’s Iberdrola is the first corporate to adopt the solution within its treasury operations.
“ICR addresses the key demand of corporates for multi-bank solutions and consistent standards in the API space to simplify adoption,” said Johnny Grimes, Deutsche Bank’s Head of Corporate Cash Products.
Swift routes API requests from corporates to the bank, which responds with tailored data based on the client’s selected accounts and Swift BIC. While currently limited to Swift-connected institutions, Deutsche Bank is encouraging broader adoption to accelerate standardised multi-bank API integration across the industry.
