Executive Changes

(8 June 2020 – Europe) Deutsche Bank’s CEO for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Ashok Aram has departed from the bank following 25 years of service.

Aram’s departure from the company follows the bank’s decision to combined private and commercial banking units, although his departure was mainly due to personal circumstances. Claudio de Sanctis has been appointed as new CEO for EMEA and has become head of the group’s new international private banking unit. The new division aims to collate wealth management clients across the whole of  EMEA.

“During times of extreme uncertainty, it is necessary for banks to forgo substantial restructuring which often can consist of both structural and managerial changes” commented East & Partners Europe Market Analyst, Pierre Sokoya.
