Global E&P Analyst Meeting Insights - Q3 2021 Outlook

Asia, Australia, Europe
East & Partners
Environmental, Research, Social and Governance (ESG)

(5 July 2021 – Global) East & Partners global analyst team based in Sydney, Hong Kong, Singapore and London report what’s really moving business banking markets in Q3 2021.

East’s analyst meeting insights deliver valuable findings from the intersection of “voice of the customer” insights provided at interview by CFOs alongside East client Bank feedback.

The upcoming E&P global insight report, “Finding the Value in Green Banking”, investigates the relative performance of global Banks environmental, social and governance credentials (ESG), building upon the popular preceding Onboarding, Request for Proposal and COVID Impact on Relationship Banking deep dives. Regional insights are aggregated to provide a fascinating insight into emerging global trends among the top 100 revenue ranked corporates in eight countries, capturing barriers to uptake, carbon credit trading, future sustainability initiatives and much more.

Collaborative questionnaire design also took place to shape newly launched ‘whole of market’ trade finance insights in Europe, Asia and New Zealand. East & Partners enhanced global Trade Finance analytics expands on the group’s long running Australian and Asian multi-client programs and custom New Zealand and European reporting with SME, middle market and institutional trade customer behavioural drivers and competitive positioning statistics captured on a broader scale. The inaugural reporting captures demand side research based insights into usage of alternative funding methods for trade need, supply chain funding programmes, traditional, receivables and inventory financing demand, eDocumentation/digitisation barriers, relationship share, wallet share, customer satisfaction and mind share. The newly research is timely given the rapidly shifting nature of trade corridors, supply chain disruptions and ongoing impact of COVID on global merchandise trade.

COVID remains an ever present factor in all client Bank interactions and primary research fieldwork. Demand for rapid “voice of the customer” insights led to the creation of E&P’s Anytime Question platform, guiding new product release, brand tracking and customer experience plans for client Banks globally.

“We have a core bank that we know banks a lot of our supply chain partners globally and across our sector – getting them to capture this is terms of added value guidance/benchmarking is like pulling teeth. It would be really beneficial.”

– Corporate Treasurer, US$20.5Bn German Manufacturer.

Across transaction banking, credit, investment banking, FX and payments, customers are voting with their feet and displaying record high levels of customer switching intentions.
