(9 July 2025 – AsiaPacific) HSBC has appointed Sami Abouzahr as global head of investments and managed solutions, wealth and premier solutions.
Sami Abouzahr also leads the bank’s ultra high net worth solutions group.
Abouzahr is tasked with leading the bank’s wealth product strategy and delivery of sustainable investment, fund, discretionary portfolio management, and alternative investment solutions to private banking and premier wealth clients of HSBC.
Abouzahr is currently head of wealth and premier solutions for HSBC’s Hong Kong business and will continue to lead the team until a successor is appointed.
Abouzahr will be based in Hong Kong and reports to Lavanya Chari, head of wealth and premier solutions, HSBC.
He has previously served leadership positions in HSBC’s operations in Hong Kong, mainland China, and the UK.
