(26 August 2026 – Hong Kong) HSBC Private Bank has made a series of senior appointments spanning its India, Singapore, and China businesses, drawing talent from Bank of Singapore, UBS, and Credit Suisse.
Vivek Pandohi has been appointed to lead the Global India franchise in the Middle East, expanding coverage across the GCC. Pandohi is an internal appointment, having spent the past decade in senior roles within HSBC Private Bank in the UAE, most recently leading its UAE Global India and Expat business. Harjeet Singh joins from Bank of Singapore — where he spent nine years, most recently as managing director and market head for Global South Asia — to serve as senior desk head for Global India in Singapore, tasked with growing the business and strengthening capabilities in the segment.
In Singapore, Lay Hong Tan joins from UBS as desk head for the Singapore market, focusing on UHNW and HNW families as well as Mandarin-speaking clients in the region. Jay See also joins the Singapore team as desk head for the Offshore China Market, bringing experience as a China coverage specialist at Credit Suisse and UBS, with a remit to strengthen HSBC’s connectivity across Greater China and Southeast Asia.
