(Australia) – Macquarie Bank staff returning to Sydney to escape the severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) virus are being offered a form of quarantine – choosing between working in isolation in the Sydney office or working from home.Other Australian financial firms such as QBE, Westpac and the local operation of HSBC are also reportedly considering a quarantine period for staff from SARS affected regions such as Vietnam, China, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
