(17 March 2026 – Hong Kong) Mastercard has introduced a new cross-border payments offering for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Asia Pacific, aimed at helping banks better serve businesses expanding into international markets.
The Mastercard Global Commerce Suite for Small Businesses, built on Mastercard Move, has launched in Hong Kong, with plans for a broader regional rollout.
Designed as an integrated solution, the platform enables SMEs to manage payments, collections and expenses through a single interface. It incorporates multi-currency capabilities via virtual accounts or a unified multi-currency card, alongside app-based controls and API connectivity with e-commerce platforms and online marketplaces.
Additional features include near real-time payment tracking and settlement, as well as embedded security and compliance tools intended to streamline processes, reduce fraud risk and lower transaction costs.
