(31 March 2006 – Australia) Suncorp chief executive John Mulcahy has been appointed to the Future Fund Board of Guardians by the Federal Government.The Future Fund was established to meet the Government’s unfunded superannuation liabilities and replicated similar schemes in New Zealand, Ireland, France and Canada.
Mulcahy said the Future Fund was a significant project which would assist the nation meet future challenges of an ageing population.
He said it was a great honour to be appointed to the Board of the Future Fund.
“I’m looking forward to contributing and drawing on my experiences in the financial services industry.”
