(2nd December 2003 – Australia) The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) has appointed Dr Bob Rankin as Assistant Governor (Business Services), replacing Geoff Board who is moving to head the bank’s European Representative Office in January 2004.Rankin has held a number of senior positions in the Economic and Financial Markets area of the RBA, including a stint as Head of Domestic Markets Department, responsible for the Bank’s domestic financial operations.
Rankin begins his new role in the New Year.
