Rabo beefs up local research division

(13 February 2007 – Australia) Rabobank Australia and New Zealand has appointed Luke Chandler as senior analyst with responsibility for the cotton, wool, and sugar sectors as well as broader agribusiness trends.Chandler joins Rabobank’s Food & Agribusiness Research (FAR) division, which has six specialist analysts based in Australia and New Zealand and about 80 worldwide.

Head of FAR for Australia and New Zealand, Bill Cordingley, said Chandler would deliver high quality research and analysis on the agricultural economy globally and his designated sectors.

Chandler joins Rabobank from the Australian Wheat Board (AWB) where he was manager of market intelligence for AWB’s international trading and risk management group on the Single Desk.

“Luke’s appointment to the FAR team in Sydney is an exciting development for Rabobank and its clients. Luke brings with him extensive experience from his roles at AWB, National Australia Bank and the Woolmark Company,” Cordingley said.
