Revolut Launches Euro-Backed Stablecoin EURR

(26 August 2026 – Europe) Revolut has begun rolling out its first stablecoin, EURR, to eligible customers in Denmark, Poland, and Portugal, with broader availability across EEA markets expected later this year.

Issued by Stripe-owned Bridge and fully integrated into Revolut’s retail app, EURR is designed to maintain a value of €1.00, backed by reserves held and managed by Bridge, and supported across multiple blockchain networks and external wallets.

Developed under the MiCA regulatory framework, EURR is positioned as a bridge between fiat and crypto, with Revolut citing potential use cases spanning international transfers, business transactions, and settlement. The company also plans to develop additional currency-denominated stablecoins through separate regulatory pathways, and was among the first cohort testing GBP stablecoin plans with the FCA earlier this year.

“EURR connects 80 million Revolut customers directly to on-chain finance,” said Emil Urmanshin, head of crypto and new bets at Revolut. “By combining our global scale and licensed banking infrastructure with instant euro denominated access to the crypto ecosystem, we are unlocking real-world stablecoin utility that no traditional bank or crypto native can match.”
