(26 July 2006 – Australia) St George will begin informing customers that their accounts are close to being overdrawn via text message and email alerts.St George’s South Australian subsidiary Bank SA will pilot the service next month.
The bank’s chief information officer John Lobenstein said a fee for each alert had not yet been determined.
