(8 October 2026 – Singapore) Standard Chartered has announced plans to extend its digital assets custody service to Singapore, subject to regulatory approval, adding to existing operations in the UAE, Luxembourg, and Hong Kong.
The expansion reflects growing institutional demand for trusted custody solutions covering crypto and tokenised real assets.
“Singapore is an important centre for financial innovation, with a strong institutional ecosystem and growing demand for trusted digital asset solutions,” said Patrick Lee, CEO for Singapore, ASEAN and South Asia at Standard Chartered. “Robust infrastructure will be critical to supporting the secure movement, safekeeping, and servicing of tokenised assets at an institutional scale.”
