(3 September 2026 – Australia) Crypto exchange Swyftx has appointed Andrea Yuen as chief executive officer and Cathryn Lyall as chair, about five months after they began acting in the roles.
Both had been serving in the roles on an interim basis following the exit of Jason Titman in April as the company laid off about 15% of its staff.
Titman had been serving as CEO and executive chair before his departure. Yuen had been acting as co-CEO alongside co-founder and director Alex Harper, who will resume board duties as an executive director.
Yuen previously spent a decade as a partner at PwC and more than nine years as a managing director at Lazard.
Lyall joined the board of Swyftx in September 2024 while Yuen joined as chief financial officer in January 2025.
Lyall is a partner at Seed Space Venture Capital and president of the Kiama Business Network. She is also on the board of Wisr, The Index Mortgage Company and Redbelly Network.
Swyftx secured an Australian Financial Services Licence in July, in line with new regulatory requirements for crypto exchanges.
