UBS head of corporate clients for Asia may be retiring

(12 May 2015 – Asia)  It has been reported the UBS Group AG’s head of corporate client solutions for Asia, David Chin may be retiring from the Swiss investment bank.

Sources told Bloomberg that Chin is leaving after 21 years at the firm.

He was appointed UBS’s joint head of investment banking for Asia along with Matthew Hanning in 2009.

Chin then became Asia head of corporate client solutions in 2014 while Hanning took on the same role for the wider Asia-Pacific region.

The corporate-client solutions group is responsible for mergers advisory, capital markets and financing for companies, financial institutions and private-equity firms.

There has been no comment so far from the UBS spokesman in Hong Kong.
