Australian bank introduces real time tracking for international payments

(9 April 2019 – Australia) Business customers of big four bank NAB can now track their international payments in real time through the bank’s online portal in a first for the Australian market.

NAB General Manager of Payments Paul Franklin said NAB is the first Australian bank to provide this capability using the latest technology, giving greater transparency and peace of mind with the help of Swift’s gpi platform.

“Until now, business customers sending money overseas have had no visibility of where their money travels, what fees have been deducted by overseas banks or when their payment has been received by the recipient,” Mr Franklin said.
