BankWest opens sixth Victorian business banking centre
(8 December 2006 – Australia) BankWest has opened a new business banking centre in Ringwood, its sixth in Victoria.
The other centres are in Dandenong, North Laverton, St Kilda Road, Thomastown and Waverley.
John Pehlivanidis, Victorian state manager for BankWest Commercial Banking, said the centres were essential elements in the bank’s commitment to growing Australian businesses.
"While BankWest has been operating in Victoria for over ten years, we’re now stepping up a gear, establishing new business banking centres in various locations and taking our services to the areas where businesses need us the most," he said.
Pehlivanidis said BankWest provided each customer with an experienced and dedicated relationship manager who understood the local business community and the wider economic environment.
He reiterated BankWest's pledge that customers would have the same relationship manager for a minimum of two years.
"Our business bankers are trained in the realities of Australian industries. They take the time to get to know their customers’ businesses, and look at each business individually to custom-design an approach that helps finance growth and build a prosperous and long standing relationship," he said.
BankWest said its flexible lending guidelines across a range of specialised industry sectors allowed it to extend finance over the going concern of the business and offer flexible length of term and repayment schedules.
