BNP Paribas boosts Securities Services team
(7 March 2005 – Australia) BNP Paribas Securities Services has expanded its Risk, Control and Finance management team with Nicolas Faust being appointed to head the team.
Faust, a Luxembourg national, has been with BNP Paribas since 1999, relocating to Sydney in 2002 to oversee the integration of the Securities Services business in Australia and New Zealand following the acquisition of Cogent from AMP.
Before joining BNP Paribas, Faust worked at JPMorgan Investment Management and Price Waterhouse.
The other new team member is Kathy Gleadhill, who will head up the division’s newly created Internal Audit Function for Australasia. She will work closely with the Risk, Control and Finance business and other operational control areas.
Gleadhill was with BNP Paribas Inspection Generale for two and a half years where she carried out IT and business reviews.
BNP Paribas Securities Services managing director Gail Burke said the appointments would be instrumental in ensuring continuous improvement and rigour in the application of risk management policies and principles within the organisation.
