Citi Names New Head of Global Subsidiaries Group for APAC

(19 January 2022 – Singapore) Citi has named Stella Choe as head of global subsidiaries group (GSG) for Asia Pacific (APAC), replacing Munir Nanji who has taken a new role as head of the Central Europe cluster and Citi country officer (CCO) for the Czech Republic.

Based in Singapore, Choe will report to New York-based global head of GSG Marc Melino and APAC head of corporate banking Kaleem Rizvi.

Choe was most recently Citi’s head of corporate banking for Australia and New Zealand. She joined the American lender in 2014 after six years with HSBC working in regional acquisition finance and funds coverage after another stint with Morgan Stanley heading EMEA leveraged and acquisition finance syndication.

The GSG business supports the subsidiaries of Citi’s multinational customers. It has a presence in 15 markets in APAC and banks two-thirds of the global Fortune 500 companies in Asia.

A search for Choe’s replacement as Head of Corporate Banking for Citi Australia and New Zealand is underway, according to Citi.
