Heritage appoints interstate director

(22 November 2005 – Australia) Australia’s largest building society Heritage has appointed financial markets and treasury expert Susan Campbell to the board. Heritage chairman Brian Carter said Campbell, who is based in Melbourne, would add financial management and corporate governance strength to the Toowoomba headquartered company.

"Ms Campbell is very well qualified, has the right set of skills and a deep knowledge of the financial markets and treasury matters to help direct the Society in its ongoing expansion and service to its members," he said.

Carter said engaging the expertise of an interstate director reflected the Society’s growing business footprint across Queensland and Southern Australia.

Campbell has extensive knowledge of internal and financial controls and liquidity management and has completed treasury and working capital reviews of major Australian and international companies and financial institutions.

"I look forward to working with the Society as it moves forward in these very interesting and rewarding times," she said.

She replaces Bobbie Brazil who has retired from the Heritage board.
