HSBC Names New Head of Platform Product Management

(2 March 2022 – Singapore) HSBC has appointed Aaron Chiew as its head of platform product management, global commercial banking.

Based in Singapore, Chiew reports to the global head of platforms, Aman Narain. In his new role, Chiew will work closely and collaborate with several teams in the bank to build up its platform capabilities.

Chiew joins from UOB where he headed its mobile and digital team, leading the development of digital bank TMRW and payment solution UOB Mighty. Previously, he also spent seven years with Standard Chartered as its head of product engineering before covering its wholesale, private and retail digital platforms.

He currently chairs the Singapore Association of Banks industry domestic and cross-border payment programs and API market. He has also been involved in similar initiatives with the Monetary Authority of Singapore and regulators in the region.

"Chiew brings significant experience and energy to this role as well as a passion and a long track record for developing customer-centric products that drive user growth," Narain said.
