HSBC opens fourth branch in Western Australia

HSBC opens fourth branch in Western Australia

(19 November 2012 – Australia) HSBC continues to expand into Western Australia (WA), opening a branch in Subiaco, the bank’s fourth branch in Perth. As HSBC seeks to increase its retail footprint in Australia, commodities-driven WA is seen as the country’s fastest growing state.

HSBC Bank Australia head of Retail Banking and Wealth Management, Graham Heunis, said the bank sees great potential in WA with a significant number of international workers and where the global banking and wealth offering is expected to have strong brand recognition.

HSBC Premier is a global retail banking and wealth proposition for mass affluent customers facilitating access to international banking products and services as well as a dedicated relationship manager.

The HSBC Premier proposition complements HSBC’s broader range of mortgages, deposits, credit cards and wealth management offering.

"HSBC’s future in Western Australia extends beyond retail banking. Western Australia’s integration and trade flows with Asia also present opportunities for HSBC’s SME and corporate business customers.

"We can put HSBC’s global expertise to work and help internationally-minded businesses achieve success trading or expanding overseas," Heunis said.
