Local Citi operation gets new IB co-heads

(9 August 2005 – Australia) Citigroup has made two new appointments to its investment banking business in Australia and New Zealand. David Hatt will relocate from Japan, where he is currently co-chief executive of Nikko Citigroup, an investment banking joint venture between Citigroup and Nikko Cordial.

Hatt will take over as co-head of the Australian and New Zealand investment banking business.

He will be joined by Chris Knoblanche who has moved to Citigroup from boutique advisory firm Caliburn where he was partner and managing director. Knoblanche is also co-head of investment banking for Australia and New Zealand.

Both men will report to Citigroup chief executive of corporate investment banking for Australia and New Zealand, Stephen Roberts. They will also have a direct reporting line to head of Asia Pacific investment banking, Mark Renton.
