Mizuho Asia and Oceania Names New Co-Head of Global Transaction Banking

(11 January 2022 – Asia) Mizuho Bank Asia & Oceania has appointed Ashutosh Kumar as Co-Head of Global Transaction Banking for the region.

In his new role, Kumar is tasked to enhance the Bank’s range of cash and trade solutions for corporate clients and drive digital transformation of the Global Transaction Banking business, supporting Mizuho’s strategy to build its global transaction banking business and expand its franchise in Asia.

He reports to Tokyo-based Yoshisuke Maeda, Head of Global Transaction Banking, with regional reporting to Yasuhiro Kubota, Managing Executive Officer and Chief Executive Officer for Asia & Oceania (excluding East Asia).

Kumar joins from Standard Chartered, where he held various senior roles including Global Head of Working Capital; Global Head of Transaction Banking Sales, Commercial Banking; Regional Head of ASEAN & South Asia, Transaction Banking; Global Head of Banking the Ecosystem and Global Head of Corporate Cash & Trade Products.
