ANZ latest Best Business Bank
(6 June 2007 – Australia) ANZ has taken out line honours in the latest Australian Best Business Bank awards.
Money publication, part of the ACP stable, named ANZ as Best Business Bank a month after St George won the same honour at the Australian Banking & Finance awards.
ANZ was also named overall Bank of the Year in the Money awards followed by St George, National Australia Bank, Westpac, Commonwealth Bank, Suncorp, BankWest, Adelaide Bank, Bank of Queensland, and Bendigo.
Foreign banks Citigroup and HSBC took out 11th and 13th spot respectively.
HSBC won Money Minder of the Year; St George won Margin Lender of the Year; and Westpac won Product Innovator of the Year.
Money magazine said it scrutinised "more than 6,000 products from over 400 institutions".
CFO publication is still to announce its winner of Best Business Bank in Australia.
