Citi Names New Singapore Commercial Banking Head
(25 April 2024 – Singapore) Citi has appointed a veteran of three decades as its new Singapore commercial banking head.
Amit Dhawan has been announced as the new Head of Citi Commercial Bank (CCB) Singapore while retaining his existing responsibilities as Head of Emerging Corporates Asia. Dhawan brings over 30 years of banking experience to his new role after first joining Citi as a management associate.
CCB is an integral part of Citi’s global strategy and a key growth driver. The division focuses on a product suite encompassing cash and liquidity management, FX, trade finance, capital markets, lending solutions and more to the middle market that are either global or seeking to build an international footprint. Within Asia, CCB serves 11 markets including Australia, mainland China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
In his new role, Dhawan will report to Citi Country Officer Tibor Pandi, Citi Head of Coverage, CCB Gaurang Hattangdi and Citi Head of CCB for Asia North, Australia & Asia South, Gunjan Kalra,
