ANZ rolls out speedy new payment terminal

ANZ rolls out speedy new payment terminal

(20 December 2005 – Australia) ANZ’s Merchant Services division has launched its multiPOS Turbo payment terminal which has been designed to make transaction processing much quicker for merchants. The new terminal, which is built using a more powerful internal processor and memory, has been rolled out in time for the Christmas shopping rush and end of year sales.

ANZ general manager, Merchant Services, Daryl Johnson, said the new terminal had been designed with the emphasis on customer service and the need to move queues faster at the point of sale.

"We understand that our merchants’ time is precious," he said.

"The launch of the new multiPOS Turbo terminal was designed to meet the needs of our merchants and their customers alike, which is why it is quick, reliable and easy to use. These are particularly important attributes during peak trading periods such as Christmas," Johnson said.

The terminal enables merchants to change paper rolls more easily and prints receipts and reports more quickly. It provides improved reporting functions and identifies shift, settlement, subtotal, detailed, tipping and stored transactions, with same business day settlement of funds into ANZ accounts.
