Citi veteran to head up APAC Global Subsidiaries Group

(6 June 2017 – Hong Kong) Citi has named a seasoned banker for the Global Subsidiaries Group Head for Asia Pacific.

Starting immediately, Munir Nanji will lead one of Citi’s most important client segments in a high growth market. He will be based out of Singapore.

In the new role Nanji will report to Gerald Keefe, Head of Corporate Banking Asia Pacific and Marc Merlino, Global Head of Global Subsidiaries Group (GSG), the bank said.

Nanji joined Citi in 1992, and has worked in various positions around the world including Nigeria, Poland, Italy, Romania and the UK, prior to his current role in Hong Kong as the Regional Sales and Marketing Head for Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) for Asia Pacific.

The GSG business supports the subsidiaries of Citi’s multinational clients around the world across institutional banking.

“We are excited to have a banker of Munir's caliber, with his broad background and strong skillset, in such an important leadership role,” said Merlino.
