Deutsche’s Australia/NZ chief promoted to APAC role

(13 November 2015 – Asia) Deutsche Bank has announced that its Australasian chief executive, James McMurdo, will now head the Asia-Pacific Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB).

McMurdo has been leading the German bank's operations in the region since February 2014.

Prior to joining the German bank, he was co-head of investment banking for Goldman Sachs in Australia and New Zealand, relocated from London where he had been head of Goldman Sachs financial sponsors group for Europe and the Middle East.

In a move to streamline its operations, the bank’s newly appointed CEO, John Cryan has indicated that it was setting up two management committees to run its Corporate and Investment Banking and Global Markets divisions.
