GE Capital appoints for Asia Pacific

(23 June 2010 – Asia) Brad Masters, formerly the managing director of capital markets Australia and New Zealand for GE Capital, has been appointed senior managing director of capital markets in Asia Pacific for the group. In conjunction with his new role overseeing Asia Pacific Mr Masters will also continue to be responsible for the capital markets business in Australia and New Zealand.

The president and chief executive officer of GE Capital Asia Pacific, Steve Sargent, said Mr Masters’ experience in capital markets business and in different economies means he is well placed to take on the challenges of the Asia Pacific operation and to position GE for growth as the regional economy recovers.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr Masters spent 17 years with Westpac’s Institutional Bank and his roles included director of loans and syndications, head of middle market sales and vice president of corporate relationships.
