HSBC sees growth among Irish corporates
(18 August 2006 – Europe) HSBC has established a corporate banking division in Ireland to support companies targeting international markets.
The bank has pulled Alan Duffy across from ING Bank where he was head of lending to lead HSBC’s new Dublin based corporate banking team.
"The continued vibrancy of the Irish economy and the general internationalisation of trade will ensure that Irish companies are well positioned to capitalise on growth opportunities globally," HSBC chief executive, HSBC Ireland, Charles Gregory, said.
HSBC has been operating in Ireland since 1979, providing financial services to institutional and corporate clients, insurance services and consumer finance.
