JPMorgan reverses brain drain

(10 February 2004 – Australia) JPMorgan has appointed Tim Fletcher and Shaun Treacy to co-head the US investment bank’s Australian operation. The bank has also brought former Merrill Lynch head Mike Tilley into the fold to strengthen its mergers and acquisitions expertise. He will continue to sit on the boards of Orica, Challenger Financial Services and Visy Industries.

Fletcher and Treacy have returned to Australia after working in a number of JPMorgan offices around the globe, and form part of the bank’s strategy to bring back some its best Australian talent from oversees.

JPMorgan has so far repatriated 10 of its most experienced bankers.
