NAB forms partnership with AmEx
(20 July 2004 – Australia) National Australia Bank and American Express have inked a deal which will see NAB issue American Express branded credit cards linked to the bank’s transaction accounts.
Known as Ant Card, the partnership means the card can be used to withdraw savings from NAB ATMs while American Express retains all merchant acquiring.
NAB’s general manager of cards, Fiona Wardlaw, said the Ant Card would form a core part of the bank’s credit card offering and was an example of NAB’s relationship approach to banking.
"Our customer research showed customers liked the benefits of having credit cards they could link to other banking services, and so we have ensured that the Ant Card provides these benefits," she said.
