NCR chasing Aussie cash business
(Australia) - NCR is proposing to Australia's top five banks that it manage the supply and demand of cash to the banks' national ATM networks.
The Company is hoping to use inventory management software called OptiCash, a tool developed by Transoft, to optimise cash supply to ATMs, something traditionally done internally by the banks.
This process is seen by NCR to include managing contracts with armoured car carriers on behalf of the relevant financial institution and could possibly downstream have the Company managing all the cash reserves of suburban, regional and city bank branches.
