New head of risk and compliance at BNP Paribas Securities Services
(13 June 2006 – Australia) BNP Paribas Securities Services has appointed Robert Pieterse as head of Risk and Control.
He replaces Nicolas Faust who moves to a newly created role within the organisation that will see him focus on a number of key strategic initiatives.
Pieterse was most recently head of Unit Pricing at ING Australia.
Before this he was chief executive officer of Orion Fund Services, which is part of Zurich Financial Services, chief operating officer for St George subsidiary, Wealthpoint Group, and CEO of Commonwealth Bank subsidiary, Commonwealth Custodial Services.
Managing director for BNP Paribas Securities Services Australasia Gail Burke said as the business grew it needed to focus on risk and compliancy.
"Having Robert’s expertise and knowledge will ensure that focus is maintained and enhanced," she said.
