New managerial appointees at NAB

(14 September 2004 – Australia) National Australia Bank has announced a raft of new managerial appointments in its Institutional Markets & Services (IMS) business division – the bank’s former Corporate & Institutional Banking division. IMS general manager John Hooper said Paul Orton had been appointed as general manager of IMS & Corporate Banking Australia.

Orton will be responsible for relationship management of Australian corporates and preside over product delivery, reporting directly to Hooper and new chief executive officer Ahmed Fahour. He will be based in Melbourne.

Orton’s New Zealand equivalent will be Anthony Grayson, who will report to Hooper and New Zealand chief executive officer Peter Thodey.

The bank said Bruce Richards will continue his role as general manager of the Americas region, based in New York while Frank Mallia continues as general manager of Asia, based on Hong Kong.

Jeff Mitchell will move from London to Sydney to take up the role of general manager, Markets. Robert Armstrong is the new general manager of Credit Products; Geoff Cullen is general manager, Portfolio Management & Syndications; Jim Kyle is general manager, Structured Products; Shaun Dooley will take on the general manager of Structured Products role on a permanent basis.

Bruce Rose has been named chief operating officer, a new role within IMS, responsible for the business’ infrastructure and service needs.
