UOB’s FinLab Launches Digital Platform for SMEs

UOB’s FinLab Launches Digital Platform for SMEs

(25 June 2020 – Singapore) UOB’s innovation accelerator The FinLab launched an online platform to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and start-ups across the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) to digitalise.

The FinLab Online aims to give more entrepreneurs access to The FinLab’s business transformation programs, with free membership open to all SMEs in the region. Contents offered on this platform include self-assessment of technology needs using proprietary tools, videos and webinars from industry mentors, and guidance on digitalisation strategies. More than 440 SMEs and start-ups across the region have registered to join the platform in April and May this year. Through this platform, businesses will also be able to connect with relevant digital and technology solution providers, and gain access to resources provided by partners such as the government-owned Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation.

“Digital adoption is not a one-size-fits-all approach, and there is a clear demand for tailored, actionable support for SMEs and start-ups to take charge of their business growth journey,” said FinLab co-head Pauline Sim.
