StanChart names new head of transaction sales
(19 July 2006 – Singapore) Standard Chartered has finally replaced Tom O’Donnell as global head of transaction sales following the appointment of Tarek Anwar.
Anwar, who will be based in Singapore, has joined Standard Chartered from Bank of America. He will report to the bank’s head of transaction banking, Karen Fawcett.
Anwar will run cash management, trade and securities services across Standard Chartered’s operations in Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
He spent 23 years at BoA and was senior vice president of FX payments before leaving the bank. Anwar worked at Chase National Bank of Egypt before his career with BoA.
