ANZ gets new head of debt capital markets

(11 July 2005 – Australia) ANZ has appointed former Westpac head of Structured Securities, Julie Hunter, to lead the bank’s Debt Capital Markets business. Hunter, who takes up the position on 19 August, will drive ANZ’s debt capital markets capabilities in securitisation, bonds, private placements and structured credit.

ANZ said Hunter had more than 15 years experience of the area gained primarily at Westpac.

She will report to managing director, Corporate and Structured Financing, Cathryn Carver, and be based at the bank’s Sydney office.

Carver said the debt capital markets business was a key focus for the bank’s growth agenda.
