BankWest in Intellect EFTPOS-plus deal

BankWest in Intellect EFTPOS-plus deal

(Australia) - Australian regional Bank of Western Australia (BankWest) has closed a deal with Intellect as its preferred supplier of EFTPOS terminals, with revenue from the sale of terminals, software and support services summing to over A$3 million over the next two years. Custom application software is being developed for the Bank using Intellect's new rapid implementation method and resulting in BankWest's applications being live within six weeks instead of the four months such projects usually require.

Selected products and services can also be delivered electronically over EFTPOS networks, using other Intellect software - an opportunity of some attraction to BankWest and its merchants, including tollway passes, pre-paid phone recharge vouchers, cinema tickets, tourist attraction tickets, calling cards and recreation products.
