BNP Paribas launches proxy voting service
(16 March 2004 – Australia) BNP Paribas Securities Services has appointed Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) to provide a web based proxy voting reporting system for its custodial clients.
The service will allow investment managers to fulfil corporate governance obligations and lodge proxy votes.
BNP Paribas Securities Services head of Sales and Relationship Management, Jonathan Green, said the appointment of ISS "recognises the importance of voting services to our clients".
He said the ISS platform benefited clients by providing an efficient and effective voting facility and comprehensive reporting to ensure that clients and investment managers can make informed decisions.
ISS is a US based company that provides services to some 950 financial institutions, custodian banks and corporations globally.
