Citi appoint CIB co-heads

(5 April 2016 – Europe) Citigroup has appointed Tom Isaac and Ashu Khullar as co-heads of corporate banking within its corporate and investment banking (CIB) business in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.

The duo will report regionally to EMEA CIB head Manuel Falco and globally to Michael Roberts, global head of corporate banking.

Isaac has been promoted from his previous position as co-head of financial institutions for EMEA. He has been with the firm for 23 years ago, his roles have covered foreign exchange, global relationship banking and transactional banking businesses during that time.

Khullar was formerly head of corporate banking for Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa. He has had a 28 year tenure with the US based lender, having worked in the cash management and trade, relationship banking and CMO businesses.

Both will keep responsibility for those roles on an interim basis. They replace Zdenek Turek, who has been appointed to head Citibank Europe in Ireland.

Additionally, Michael Parker will become chairman of EMEA corporate banking and will continue with his current responsibilities as global head for shipping, logistics and offshore industries.
