GE focuses on mid-market
(30 May 2012 – Australia) GE Capital Australia is planning an aggressive growth in its lending markets, targeting areas where the banks are less dominant.
Chief Executive for Australia and New Zealand, Skander Malcolm, said the new commercial strategy targeting mid-market businesses was right for this economy.
"This is a great time to be a specialist, the best way of doing this is to be better at a few things, rather than all things to all people". Mr Malcolm said.
Mr Malcolm said concerns about international volatility, particularly deteriorating economic conditions in Greece and the possibility of an event in China, has blunted borrowing demand from mid-market businesses.
