Head equity strategist appointed swiftly
(27 July 2010−Australia) Deutsche Bank has lost executive Tony Brennan to Citigroup, but has moved quickly appointing Tim Baker to the role as head equity strategist.
Deutsche Bank’s head of markets Michael Ormaeche said, in an internal email to staff, that Tim Baker would be appointed to the position.
Before Mr Baker became a strategist at Deutsche Bank he was an economist at the Reserve Bank of Australia for five years, providing analyses of domestic and overseas macroeconomic developments.
The email to staff today also said that Mr Baker was highly regarded by clients and the team at Deutsche, and that his appointment, which follows the departure of Tony Brennan, demonstrates the depth of talent the investment bank has in their operation.
