JPMorgan expanding privately

(Asia) - JPMorgan Private Bank, focussed on servicing wealthy individual clients, is reportedly planning significant expansion in its Asian business. The Bank is "seeing a new momentum in wealth generation in Asia" and is busy "hiring bankers".

JPMorgan Private Bank runs its regional operation from offices in Singapore and Hong Kong and is seeing particular opportunities in Indonesia and Malaysia. It sets a minimum account size of US$5 million and currently has six private bankers in Singapore.
