Maybank Appoints Khairussaleh Ramli as Group President, CEO
(19 January 2023 – Malaysia) Malayan Banking Bhd has announced the appointment of Datuk Khairussaleh Ramli as its group president and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective May 1, 2022.
He will succeed Datuk Seri Abdul Farid Alias, whose tenure of duty will end on April 30, 2022.
Khairussaleh, 54, was most recently the RHB Banking Group Managing Director and CEO.
He had a prior stint with Maybank between November 2008 and September 2013, as the group's Chief Financial Officer for more than three years, then was appointed President-Director and CEO of the bank's Indonesian operations.
While at Maybank Indonesia, he introduced a business transformation programme that led to its turnaround and an 81 percent profit growth for FY2012.
"We are confident that with his vast experience, he will be able to lead Maybank in its next growth phase, pillared on the M25 focus areas of digitalisation, sustainability and new value drivers," said Maybank Chairman, Tan Sri Zamzamzairani Mohd Isa.
