$6 bil OSF hires first CIO

(21 May 2010 – Australia) Gerard Parleviet has been appointed the first chief investment officer for the Officers Superannuation Fund for Commonwealth Bank employees, Sydney. Prior to his appointment at the A$6 billion fund, Mr Parlevliet was the general manager of fund secretariat OSF Trustee Services.

The fund’s chairman, Neal Cochrane, said that he was also continuing the search for the fund manager’s new chief executive officer and had built an ‘outstanding shortlist’ of internal and external candidates, without the assistance of an executive search firm.
