ANZ adds industry expertise
(22 June 2004 – Australia) ANZ has boosted its industry specialisation within the bank’s Institutional Banking division with two new appointments.
Paul Birch has been appointed director of Telecommunication, Media & Entertainment (TME) and will be based in Melbourne reporting to David Hewett, head of TME. Before joining ANZ, Birch was managing director of corporate and investment banking at Toronto Dominion Securities.
Birch replaces Alan Huse who was appointed director of ANZ’s Relationship Credit Group.
The other key appointee is Peter Prowse who has been named director and head of Melbourne office, Natural Resources, reporting to Andrew Wright. Prowse has joined ANZ after a nine year career with the Commonwealth Bank where he was most recently general manager, Institutional Banking, Victoria and Tasmania.
